EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel is the official environmental label of the European Union and recognizes products and services that meet defined and standardized environmental criteria across Europe. Introduced by the European Commission in 1992, it stands for high environmental standards and the responsible use of resources. The award criteria are developed jointly with the EU Member States and are regularly updated.

In the tourism sector, the label is awarded to businesses that implement measures in areas such as energy and water efficiency, waste prevention, sustainable procurement, and environmental management. The certification provides guests with reliable guidance when choosing responsibly managed accommodation establishments throughout Europe.

The following properties have been awarded the EU Ecolabel:

• Austria Trend Hotel Congress Innsbruck
• MICAMPA Vienna Wienerwald
• MICAMPA Vienna Danube

Additional properties are currently undergoing the certification process.

The certification confirms our ongoing commitment to using resources efficiently, reducing environmental impacts, and integrating sustainable practices into daily hotel operations, including:

• 100% renewable electricity in all properties
• LED lighting in many properties
• Refillable dispenser systems replacing many single-use products in guest areas
• Water-saving fittings in selected properties
• Waste separation and recycling systems
